I cannot bring the word to my lips of goodbye
My heart gives a heavy sigh
I know you will never be mine
The thought killing me inside
My tears falling like stars from the sky
I make a wish on every one
Wanting my pain to be done
All hope I should abandon
My heart to harden
I ought to walk on
Still I stay
Unable to my heart sway
Waking from my dreams each day
Alone in my bed I lay
My tears I am unable to push away
All this I keep inside of me
My sorrow is not yours to see
Just a friend is all I will ever be
It is a somber simplicity
That you will never love me
