Right Where I Am |
Fool's Errand
To love you as I do is a fool’s errand
For you will never hold for me the same passion
I know this and yet my heart cannot be swayed
To my logic I cannot hearken
I bite my tongue and keep from speaking
Knowing that the words I hold would frighten you away
Your friendship to me is important
Though I do long for you to know the truth each day
My silence is a prison of my own giving
I am unable to give myself to another
You are the one I have searched to find
To my hearts beat you are the drummer
I bide my time in unspoken hoping
Desiring for you to one day feel as I do
Knowing that day will most likely never come
This is my choice to tacitly love you
