Peaceful Meadows

I walk amongst the wild flowers

Listening to the song of a near by brook

Letting the sun rays upon me shower

My heart filled with peace

My soul finally at rest

Finding a long needed release

Though I am in solitude here

My need for another is no more

My thoughts are finally clear

I can see my true beauty

I no longer need verification

With myself I am at last happy

I have found the proverbial Holy Grail

Hiding amongst my shadows for so long

All of my secrets have been unveiled

I have found I love who I am

Just as I am

No longer am I broken

Though I am not faultless

I am just me

And my confidence is now endless

I will look at the world and smile

Knowing what I do now

That I am truly worthwhile
