Ocean between us

I'm wide awake ,

With nothing to do.

Twiddling my thumbs,

I'm waiting for you.

Time has passed,

Since our last kiss.

I start to cry,

Thinking of what you've missed.

Since you've been gone,

The kids have grown.

I've watched them blossom,

And start to do things on thier own.

They ask me where you've been,

And where you now are.

I tell them your across the ocean,

Looking at the same star.

I try to comfort them,

Although i can not.

The love you've given them,

They never forgot.

They are still young,

So they'll make it through.

They will remember what you've given up,

And they will in time, thank you.

As for me,

I cry everyday.

Without you here with me,

My sky's are always grey.

I try to hide my feelings,

I dont do it well.

Because when i think of you,

My heart begins to swell.

I wonder how your doing,

And if your alright.

I want you to know,

You are my shinny knight.

You have given me so many things,

Including my wonderful life.

Our two wonderful babies,

I'm proud to be your wife.

I prey everyday,

For you to come home to me.

I look to the stars above,

To answer my simple plea.

I need you to know,

It seems long overdue.

Even with an ocean between us,

I will always love you!
