Glue

I was lonely
No one to talk to
No where to go
And nothing to do

I sat bored,
From day to day,
Thinking of what could be,
The clouds always seemed to be grey.

"Can I give your dog a snack?"
Were the first words we spoke,
While I was taking Ozzy out,
And you were out for your morning smoke.

It took a little bit longer,
We couldn’t of known,
That with in a few months,
We would love each other to the bone.

If it wasn’t for matt working on the car,
And you sending mike out to see,
God only knows,
If you and I would be.

I sat on the sidewalk,
Hoping you would come out,
I was never alone again,
Because our friendship started to sprout.

You sad "I don’t like girls",
And I agreed,
From then on,
We grew together with great speed.

It started with a couple of beers,
And playing cards,
Taking a few shots,
And sitting in our yards.

Before to long,
I was throwing rocks at your door,
So you would come out and smoke,
So we could talk shit about the whore.

We learned the word "sheepez",
Then lit some fireworks without the guys,
Only to run in the house,
So we didn’t get seen with unwanted eyes.

"Gold digger" was playing on the radio,
Always a little to loud,
The cops showed up a lot,
Together forever we vowed.

Then the guys left,
And it was just us two,
We had heart to heart talks,
But always seen them through.

One night you got locked out,
You asked to sleep in my bed,
The next morning you woke up in matts pjs,
We were ganna drink again, but chose to watch movies instead.

Matt came home on R&R,
Sometime around Christmas eve,
We heard the ever famous words,
"When’s jackie leave?"

We had our routines,
I always made sure you were fed,
Going to get the Sunday paper,
You making sure I watched what I said.

As the time grew near,
For mike to return from Arizona,
We spent every minute together,
And made sure we always had corona.

We had a lot of good times,
We laughed a lot and we cried,
Knowing it was coming to an end,
I thought I would of died.

It came to quick,
It was way to fast,
I cried for you after you left,
But I knew we would always last.

And so we have,
We will never be apart,
Thank you god for the bond we have,
You, my silly, will always be in my heart.

Even though your not here,
And I cant reach to hug you,
There’s really no space between us,
Stuck together like glue.
