Let us pretend, once again, that your smile isn't fading.
Let us imagine, because that's so in fashion, that this feeling isn't hating.
I can't remember what it feels like to save the day,
So just save my heart beat for later, it's getting in the way.
Oh sigh a pretty sigh as your life goes by,
And you keep telling yourself that things will get better.
I want to change the world in the blink of an eye,
But sometimes I think you're too afraid to try.
Today felt like a tidal wave,
You watched his breath get taken away.
Let's take this time to save the day.
I gave him my heart beat, so maybe he'll stay.
Oh sigh a pretty sigh as your life goes by,
And you keep telling yourself that things will get better.
I want to change the world in the blink of an eye,
But sometimes I think you're too afraid to try.
He laughed and then I ran away.
You won't find me, I've found my place.
I'll take this moment so I can say,
I'm going to change the world today.
Oh sigh a pretty sigh, as the world goes by.
I don't understand why you don't bother trying.
How about a little trying?
I'm saving the world today.
