                   The wind laughed

                   The tree's gawked

                   I just kept walking

                  Their thoughts of me

                       As cold as ice,

                   I just kept walking

                     For I did not care

           The laughter and gawking went on,

                   but I just kept walking

          Along the road a friend appeared

       She smiled at me, ant that was the end

                     We just kept walking
