Chain of Command

Love thyself before anyone else
the common sense rule to life
but what if that becomes harder than living?
and your life becomes nothing worth saving?

you've keupt up the fight, and lived all despite
the outcome you knew, wasn't quite right.
somehow through it all, you lost what was dear.
the one that kept you, from shedding a tear

who's shoulder do you ry on? who is the on e?
what if that's the person your running from.
the second person in line, they've been there the whole time
but you've bothered shem so much, so who's next in line?

this is when some of the non believers start believing
turning to God to get some relieving.
and the stubborn keep walking, dealing and coping
walking then runing, from the one they were loving

then comes the stranger from out of the blue.
the one that replies with "i love you"
but that's not real love, from a person like that.
but you're too hurt to see, whats fiction or fact

but the few who are smart and keep on their walk
still can't find anyone else that will talk
so they sit there depressed, sitting and waiting
watching life go by and still they are waiting

for that one to come back, but they never come by
and the next shoulder they find, wil be after they die
