For me

Let me take your pain, take what once hurt you.

Show you how that one thing, can be so healing too.

Your heart is broken from things in the past.

I cannot mend it, and it won’t heal fast.

I can only listen, as you tell me who

Did this to you as I comfort you.

Do I love you? I don’t know? It’s hard to say.

I just want you to be happy, and see your smile everyday.

To hold you, to love you, to kiss and not tell,

Only if you want it, if it will make you feel well.

For no pain is too much for me.

Or at least that is what I believe

To take your pain and add it to my own.

Take your loss, and subtract it from mine.

Take your love, multiply by mine,

Divide it by one, and you’ll be just fine.

Your smile is my drug, with it nothing’s wrong.

Your pain is my own, I take it from you alone.

So that you may be happy. So that I can see
