Graduation He see's his target, he reaches for it.
but it's on a string, someone tugging on it.
Or is it his own arms? he can't reach that far.
or maybe he can, it's not that hard.

Get up and walk to it, impossible to do it.
Half the people hold him, while the other half hates it.
But ITS not the problem, it's the concept they hate.
To witness this man, escape what was fate.

His arms are getting shorter, his body getting smaller
The world continues growing, and he's none the wiser.
his town becomes a city, his city becomes a state.
his state a country, while all he does is debate.

fighting for what is right, reaching for what is his.
The world restrains him, ignoring what IT is.
What it could be, what it stands for
All this guy needs, is a mentor.
A push, a pull, anything to hold.
Cause his target never left him, it's sitting there proud and bold
His reality is like fantasy, and none of this is fact.
All that's left to learn, is the proper way to act.

Seeing is believing, believing is achieving.
So open up your eyes, because this black guy isn't dreaming.
He's graduated, he's done something. And no matter how he dies
He disproved everyone, and never lived a lie.
