Love At First Sight
Hung for the pride from within started a rave. It started as the last breath came through the nostrils. Knowing of death by rope was none compared to a warrior. No tears soiled the already damp skin, or broke through the color of a black, brown cheek. In eyes' sight were more than he imagined knew of him. Here he was in a spotlight so dark it's name was truly "Death". And of all of the crowd he yet understood the face on a soul. Expressions so hindered they had no name mustering up his jaunting yield in faith. He no longer gave himself the decency of telling himself "goodbye". 'Better off alone to read about my past in the afterlife' he thought. And one step by one step the neck on him became a pigeon bob. Deprived of any true emotion before his end, sweeping his feet on the wooden stage causing numberous splinters. Blood a steady, but not heavy flow from the tops of his feet. The noose now at "adam's apple" height, and towards the last step he'd be taking, he fell in love at first sight with heaven's gates.
