Even when the tears come down.

though blood is thicker than water

but is family all it seems.

I thought family was kind

but only in my dreams.

My cousin took the one I loved

Being my own flesh and blood.

I know I should have put her down,

After all she pushed me around.

But in respect to my family,

I just walked away,

And pray that he'd return

another day.

This was before I married my husband, and later down the road my cousin and ex where murdered.
