I lived my life
day to day without a single meaning
I closed my eyes
just to keep the world from ever seeing

and I couldn’t  force myself enough to care
I held it back
up until I saw you standing over there

Words could never be enough
to show you just how thankful I’ve become
Words could never say it all
to tell you thanks for never letting me fall
Words could never show my heart
to let you know that you had me right from the start
Words could never see it through
to show you just how much that I’ll always need you

You took my hand
and walked me through the darkest nights
You brought me back
and showed me once again just how to fight
You looked so deep
and saw me when I couldn’t see myself
You picked me up
over and over and over when I fell
