Dear Jesus

Dear Jesus, I've noticed all the holly. I've noticed all the lights.

I've noticed all the decorations that glow when day is met by night.

Dear Jesus, I've noticed all the presents beneath the Christmas tree.

I even stopped to check and see if one might belong to me.

Dear Jesus, I've noticed all the wreaths that seem to hang on every door.

I've noticed all the wrapping paper that seems to cover all the floors.

Dear Jesus, I've noticed all the little elves at the mall who are so cute.

I've noticed the jolly fat man dressed in his Santa suit.

Dear Jesus, I've noticed all the candy canes. There's so many in sight.

I've noticed all the people say they hope Christmas is white.

Dear Jesus, there's just one little thing. So I hope that you don't mind.

But there's just one small question I need to ask while there's still time.

Dear Jesus, why do so many people often forget what Christmas means?

Why are there so few Bibles now? So few nativity scenes?

Dear Jesus, please help me before time runs out.

Help me remind the world what Christmas is all about.

Dear Jesus, please tell them all the true Christmas reason.

Tell them that it's your birth we're to celebrate this season.

Dear Jesus, please stand close to me. I feel safe only when you're near.

Please also stand close to all of those who may not know true Christmas cheer.
