I have something to ask of you

One thing I want to say

I want to ask you how our love

Has slowly slipped away

I never meant for this to end

This way, with so many tears

And now, no matter where I look

The pain--oh, how it sears

Each thing I see reminds me of

Your smile, your heart, your love

It's everything I've been missing

It's all I've been dreaming of

I gently flick a tear away

And paste a sunny beam

I hate this need to hide my pain

I'm ripping at the seams

I need to tell you how I feel

Before I walk away

I love you and I always will

With every coming day.
