A daisy radiates
The sunshine of the day
Its mellow golden sunlight
A sautéed gold entrée.
A rose, white, pink, or yellow
Representing love and peace
Each velvety soft petal
Holds hope in every crease.
A dainty lady’s slipper
The small innocent flow’r
Springs up with ev’ry raindrop
Each drizzling April show’r.
Curtains of rainbow tulips
Pop up in early spring
Within them there is pleasure
Each painted petal sings.
A hummingbird, wings zinging
Sips nectar from these treasures
Each sweetened drop of liquid
A tiny immense pleasure.
