It was so many years ago I sat upon your lap,Asking for your chewing gum or playing with your cap.It was so many years ago we set upon the bank,Watching as the sun came up and the stars shrank.It was so many years ago that we cast our lines,I caught my first cat fish who poked me with his spines.It was so many years ago when I went astray,I was right and you were wrong no matter what you'd say.It was so many years ago that i realized the truth,remorsing at the pain I caused, with my ignorance and youth.It was so many years ago when the words were hard to speak,Try as a may to make them come out my nerves always went weak.Many years have past between us, and i can now say,Though it wasn't always shown I've loved you everyday.
