I've fallen into the shadows of hell

I've flown to the floors of heaven

I've walked down every wavering path

And I've been betrayed by idealism

Some people look on me with a frown

They think my spontaneity will drown me

But in truth it's my spirit just wanting to live

It's my passion just wanting to be given

My soul is sincere and that's why I cry

So often and with such intensity

Such loyal love I know I can show

If someone would just give me a chance

If someone would just understand

But it's never me that runs, it's them.
