REVOLUTION

REVOLUTION

One day it was said to me

That any era is meant to be

Fertile with revolution seeds

If we but know how to feed it

When everyone is of different mind

Extreme in their causes of various kind

It's hard to stand out at just the right time

And be the figure to sway them

But it's written in books of history

With incarnadine quills of calvary

We roused the people to want to be free

With words of a sole ardent leader

That collective minds are a light brigade

That we are a mighty calvacade

By our pounding hooves let bricks be laid

To freedoms that no man denies us

So keep your credence close at hand

And wait for Providence to give you sand

To mold independence into your land

And you'll fly like an eagle above it
