Nothing left to live for!
Samantha Corbett 3/11/08 Nothing left to live for: This poem I wrote that year for language we were studying the holocaust and were required to right a poem, about our take on the holocaust!! You tell me things happen for a reason Well then, why did this happen Why were we put through this pain What did they have to gain All we were left with is sorrow All we though about was tomorrow All the regrets they feel Are from us Now we’re left with nothing “My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass” This pain will never be taken away But for today We’ll take it one step at a time Because this pain isn’t yours Its mine All the questions we asked are selves late at night With the shots that roared up the windows In to are rooms Late nights eyes wide open With the thought of when is it going to end The real question was when are we going to end Realization rolled down the rivers of tears that ravished our pain This was it for us the end was near But what did we have to fear we faced The devils in there domains demonstrating their glory We had seen our worst But we were still scared of what was to come of tomorrow Why, when we faced our fears What was there left to fear Excepted our end !!!!
