Unturned Stone
It lays there restless. Confused by the stones that surround it. It watches. It studies. It stays dorment waiting for its chance to move. In its serenity and longsuffering it wishes to make a difference but doesn't know where to begin. It's scared. What if the others don't like the way it has moved? How badly will it affect the others? Will it affect them at all? Water falls upon it. Bringing refreshment greatly needed. But soon the hunger that drives it, dries up and leaves it thirstier than before. Til years of discomfort. Years of wondering. Years of flinching. Fear subsides. Questions fade. Thirst is quenched. It rocks itself, it crawls. It completely turns over. Causing an adverse affect on the rocks around it. Every rock begins to loosen. freeing a whole dry riverbed. Creating a continous movement. Freedom at last!
