A Community of Routine: Boone |
An Agonizing Truth
I see you in my mind.
I see you in my dreams.
You are always there,
your face never leaving me.
And what a glorious sight your face is,
Shining radiantly like a cloud caught in the light of a sunset,
emitting an image of complete and utter perfection.
It brightens my days and lifts my spirit to an utmost high.
Your beauty and grace reach no limits.
You are like the sun that gently wakes me
with a kiss of its rays on my face.
I never expected to know such love.
This artificial love i dreamed of before you over took it
was all i had to hold on to.
But when you entered my world,
you became everything i needed to hold on to.
I have yet to find a single flaw hovering about you.
You are like a mirror image of Jesus,
full of compassion, love, and kindness.
You are all I ever dreamed of.
But then again, there is one haunting flaw,
which I am futilely fighting out of existence.
Fighting this agonizing truth
has got me in a a rut of depression.
I am afraid to utter those horrible words.
It's as if I'm afraid I will speak them into being,
even though they already are into being.
For this reason I will let out this awful truth.
I only see you in my mind.
I only see you in my dreams.
You are only there,
Your face always haunting me.
Yes, it's true, I admit.
You do not exist in my world,
only in my dreams.
You are my dream.
