What Sadness Is |
Years of Summers Past
Running along the ocean designed land
Rocks jutting out of the ground
Jabbing the bottoms of our
Soft bare feet
The sun crusted sand
Sticking between my tanned toes
Towels that had been ripped from our loose grips
Are tossed about the beach
On to tiny sand particles, in a heap
Splash is all i could hear as i
Dove into the cold salty water
The rushing of freezing liquid,
Being pulled by the current, Moving swiftly along
Standing on the rocks so high
Crash, the sounds that was heard
While the mighty waves smashed themselves
Into the jetty so hard
As huge ball of fire rose high up into the sky
Memories were made,
And then all the colors came sinking down
Trying to catch the ice cream droplets
With my mouth, as the flavors ran down the cone
Gulping down, freezing cokes trying to cool our bodies
Those summer days have gone by now
And will always be a memory to our minds
