Flip through all the parts that make you smile.
Show a short montage of the love and laughter
With up beat music -
then
Cut to the part when we all lose our minds
when the plotline twists
attempting to escape its dreadful characters.
The audience knew the ending
five minutes in.
But we'll still go through the motions to fulfill
the starving archetypes of a blissful generation.
There's a happy ending
but that's only one chapter.
When no one is watching you give the best performance,
no one at all to see you crumble...
Oh, the subtle way her lips tremble on metal
could have bagged the Oscar.
Yet those lips won't make it on time for the matinee.
