Gentle Rain

Views (148) Pain Created on 2-17-07 Flag

Falling like a gentle rain
Slanted with the wind
Dripping off of moistened eves
sliding down this drain

This love was burning, give speed
We went upon our way
Like leaves we caught and blase'd so bright
Felt desire like a need

How did this rain consume our fire?
This smoke and ashes left
Our love is falling, sliding still
Consumed by drains of ire

I thought this love could hold the world
Could stay this life's tirade
Our love was brilliant, hearts so bold
A bleeding trail unfurled

Now our way is unsure at best
She says lets parts our ways
Why hold on the way I do
Why not just let it rest

sincerelyichab Very nice, the song I'm listening to right now fits almost perfectly with these words as well, kinda weird...like a camera going in and out of focus...only with words :)
