Greying Days
Greying days have found me here, beneath the trembling skies
Silent and still a world turns dark, lost to innocent eyes
Leaves are falling, fetching up, against the swaying trees
The winds will harden, given speed, aloft of turgid seas
Time is counting, passing by, time is nowhere near
Lost to sigh’s and candle light, lost to morbid fear
Sought in falling drops of rain, caught in lying eyes
Dripping tears abound me now, summoned, sunset skies
In me is life, for that I’ve seen, from here I’ve ventured forth
Into the world, I’ve found this strife, my first time not my fourth
Give me now, will you not, a herald, news of fate
For here I see into the night, my tears do not abate
