Too Many Days

Views (166) Love Created on 1-13-07 Flag

Too many days to pass away
Awaiting treasured dreams
Lost in thought the time slips by
Unzipping at the seams

I see a field of brilliant snow
Upheld against the skies
I see you there in drowning white
Emblazoned in my eyes

I hear the steps on fallen ice
To cherish every sound
I know this place has been your home
This place I’ve yet not found

The swaying tree's whisper wind
A' flowing through their lives
To find us here but would I dare
I know not where love lies

Spangled now in overtones
Draped in velvet white
To run my fingers through your hair
To hold you through the night

To walk my days of overcast
To bare my sorrows hence
I would kiss your lips a thousand times
To stay away pretense

A silent tear for fallen dreams
A shudder in my heart
A wintry chill to find me here
To freeze a shattered heart

Gliding now upon the wind, into the setting sun

My soul shall weep forever more; my heart shall seek the one
