ahhahah...no...i dont think it matters....and what kuruisakebu said is true....but then again...not even she really has it....thats only half of it....haikus can still be written differently cause the languages are WAY to different.... if you want to know a the true patters, go decipher a japanese haiku. its so much easier than arguing with one another... btw...great haiku~.^

RoxyLaLauren22 who cares if it wasn't the actual 5-7-5 thing. it's still a cool poem either way. good job. the count would probably be 3-4-1 but it doesn't matter. some people are just too picky.

kuruisakebu haikus are 5-7-5, and translated in japanese it would be kagayakashii metsuki wa (9) to kochibiru (5) kara ochirimasu (7) thats the actual, a direct would be 7-9-5. and abeardforbirds, you know nothing of the japanese language
On January 3rd 2007 abeardforbirds Said :
abeardforbirds japanese sound units do not translate well into english syllables, so the 17 sound units the japanese use would be more like 10 syllables or less in english. using that as the criteria, this is an excellent haiku
