To Love and Be Loved

She’s the star in the sky that slowly falls into the night
She’s the horse that’s bet on and ends coming in last.
Small inside her hollowed out shell
Words can’t be spoken
You don’t know what to say.
Within her shadows she’s desperate for love

Approaching without hesitation
Takes her by the hand and asked to dance
New and oblivious to her new found love.
In her rags he sees her as a beautiful bride.
No words are spoken she’s sees it in his eyes
That this is forever he’ll always be there when she cries.

Lie down and admire the flower among the thorns
Your beautiful, my love
That’s all I can say for sure.
The sky mirrors back the image of a princess.
Turns away she’s too ashamed
To take the honor of such a great name.

I’ll love you forever and until I return to you
Meet me here and you will find,
What it is you’ve been waiting for so long.
The wind will whisper to you
I will caress every tear
I will come to you I’ll always be there.

-Leah Rose Beauchamp

In fading tears of autum night
In sky lines turned steel grey
I've sheltered now, in angel's fears
I've learned what lovers pray

I've given much to see in time
To scrie across the land
To feel a shudder fading now
Grasped in failing hands

My eyes have known no greater prise
My path now seems so clear
To behold this grace unfound as yet
To feel, i strain to hear

Falling slow from holy lips
The words of life resound
Upon the shores of cherrished lands
About this course i'm bound

Time is turning, given speed
Time is counting down
Travail has come to see us fall
A cost untold in need

About the days i'll think of you
About the days i'll say
I never knew just what to say
When love brought thoughts of you

To see the grey's of life unfurled
To hear it in your words
To count the seconds down to fear
Just like the fickle birds

Would you who see's, into the night
Would you who see's for free
Would you but grasp a little love
And god may set us free

I've seen the regal ties of love
I've known the ways of fate
I've seen those lesser, holding crowns
I've seen great names abate

I knew before I walked this floor
Just what would come about
Afeared i sought to justify
I sought to think this out

But who can make a heart lie still
I guess we'll have to see
The bends-o-the rainbow that never fade
Let all who live agree
