Screams and Wails of a Battered Heart
the screams and wails of the broken heart
oh so silent to the ones we love
how are they supposed to know until we tell them
the misery laced within every word we utter
ignored and silent for no one knows the secrets beared
the shoulders hunched over yet never seen
the confidence portrayed as a facade
hiding the wails and screams
the tears of misery
how do we get through it
when there seems to be no end
how can it be done
now can they banish it from us when finally seen
how will they find the strength after the shock of it being revealed
oh so silent to the ones we love
