Aching Heart Full of Misery and Woes

tears stream down
I can't make a sound
no one can see my distress
its such a mess
my heart is aching
my thraot is closing up
making me choke on the sobs its just my luck
tears cascading down a pale face
when its all over they won't leave a trace
my heart is crumbling a piece at a time
unable to fit them back together
such a failure I always see as I look in the mirror
why does everyone else always say I'm a hero
nothing was done heroic on my part
they should be calling me a zero
misery stuck in my chest
I wish I could deal with the rest
so much on my mind
all of it is leaving me aching
the time is making me bitter
everything is growing so hard
so cold yet aching still
being so bruised and battered
my heart can't stand the torture that its going through
why can't I erase my thoughts
make all these feelings go away
it hurts so bad and I can't do a thing
make the misery leave
let the woes be put to rest
help me please to banish the rest
