Blind

The cold washed over and darkness remained.

Not a voice could be heard outside of her little brain.

Except, inside she could hear so many different things.

So much so that her ears started to ring.

Even with this sudden manifestion, she kept still.

Yet, her eyes gave away the fact that she was ill.

I wanted to help her so bad but I knew she was lost.

The souvenir of a life that had been criss-crossed.

Forever, she would be another soul confined;

Another one that went sour, another that went blind.
