Mary, be kind to me, I am still a child

Waiting patiently for love, waiting for you

Please hear my cry of life

Please understand, I need s’meone to love me.

Mary, I am tired and sick

Of those daily beatings, of those daily haitings

Please hear my cry for death

Please understand, I can’t go on like this.

Mary, I have found someone

To love like mad, to cherish forever

Please hear my cry of freedom

Please understand, the one I love has gone today.

Mary, I’m coming to see you

I can’t wait, I have missed you so

Please hear my cry of joy

Please understand, it’ll be quick, do not stop me.
