Take off the mask.

I can see right through you.
You are my dad and yet you torture  my soul.
You take joy in seeing tears stream down my face yet once again.
But when people come around you change into someone i have never met before.
You put your arm around me and i take one step away from you.
You smile at me and i smirk with confusion.
I really do not understand how someone of your age can be so fake.
You would think that you would be wise.
No i guess not.
You are fake when people come around.
But everyone can see how unreal you really are.
So just take off that damn mask!!!!!!

People who have low self-esteem make other people around them feel like dirt....it makes them feel better about themselves. So stand tall, stand proud and do not give him the satisfaction of one single tear. I know it hurts, but you can save your emotions for later when you are alone...when he can't gloat by the way he makes you cry. It is time for you to learn how to put a mask on when you are standing there taking the abuse.
