Maybe then they would understand.

"Maybe things will be different."
"Maybe they've forgotten about everything."
"Just maybe......" Is what they say to me before every school year starts.
No.
Everything will be the same.
And now, with new people coming in, it will only get worse.
They have no idea, of what goes on in that school.
Everyday they ask me, "How was school today?"
I am forced to say, "Fine."
But really, the truth is:
"It was just another day of being harassed and humilated."
"Just another day of being on my own."
"Same whispers, laughs, and rumors."
"Same people."
"Same hallway."
"Same spot where i sit every lunch period."
"It was just another day."
And every day is the same exact routine:
Wake up.
Go to school.
Survive.
Come home.
Survive.
Go to sleep.
Wake up the next morning and it starts all over again.
They always lie to me and say,  "Maybe things will be different this year."
Little do they know.
If they truely believed that, then THEY should come with me to school.
Hide in a bush somewhere.
And see how school life is for me.
They would see me walk the halls alone.
Pushing through the crowds of people laughing in my face.
They would see me sitting alone at lunch pretending to do my work.
They would watch me be humiliated.
Watch the people pass by, and hear the whispers and laughs.
Watching me as i try not to look up at them.
And maybe.
Just maybe then, they would understand.
