Putting it all behind me.

Putting it all behind me.
It hurts.
But i'll get over it soon.
And i'm putting all of this behind me.
I want to discover something new.
If i get hurt, then i know someone will pick up the broken pieces of me.
If i loose everything again, it will only make me stronger.
I don't know what this is.
But i like it.
Like a fear being overcome.
Like a standard or new height being reached.
And i am not giving up.
So for now:
My depression is broken.
And there are no more tears.
Way more smiles and a lot less screams.
More than enough hugs and pain that i can no longer feel.
Even though they hurt me.
I forgive them.
I don't know when this came.
Or how.
But i'm glad it did.
I love every single one of you.
And thank you for standing by me and loving me.
sidenote: I am offically back to being me. (lol)

Beautiful and inspiring words. Your poem is so uplifting. It reminds me of my own transition from writing poems about my pain and sadness to writing poems about hope and getting past my depression. Great job! |
