In Night's Dark Embrace

Deep in the night when everyone's asleep and I lay awake
I wonder what will happen next in life
The attempt to take my own life having failed
Heavily medicated with a false sense of joy
I can feel the blood pumping through my body
The darkness sorrounds me
It holds tight to me as I search for the answer
A tear rolls gently down my face
As the faces of people fly in my minds eye
I see all the dissapointed faces
My mom reminding me of my mistakes everyday
My love looking at me with pain in his eyes
Where once there stood strongly, love
My sister's once smiling face, frowning in disgust
This one mistake and my life was changed
Will no one out there tell me that everything will be fine
Will no one just hold me as long awaited tears flow freely
Will I always have to show a strong front
As inside I'm screaming for someone to understand
Death makes us all open our eyes just a little bit more
My eyes have been opened to the world full of hate
I will not turn away in ignorance
I will stand my ground
As wave after wave of dissapointment hit me
After all don't the ones that love me
Know whats best for me
All these thoughts exhaust me
I close my eyes for dreams to welcome me
Tomorrow I face it all over again
