My angel in disguise

Dear Alex,

Well it’s been one year;

A year from my first kiss

A year of your warming bliss.

And the way you make me feel almost scares me inside.

My first instinct was to hide,

But you made it okay to open up.

Before God sent you to me, my life was a near filled cup.

I had my family and my friends,

But I lacked something more, and I searched all ends.

One day I became ill at ease

I couldn’t find that missing part,

I wanted more to fill my heart.

So I asked God to help me find

 That missing piece, to settle my mind.

Well, he heard my desperate plea

And decided to answer me

In the most incredible way he could.

He sent me down an angel in disguise.

This angel carried a missing piece, just the right size.

Needing to taste the sweetness of your care, I must.

You’ve held me tight

And treasured me with all your might.

And every time I look at you I see,

A smart, successful, and loving man in front of me.

Now it has been one amazing year

Completed with a smile, kiss, and a tear.
