I wrote this after a boyfriend of mine asked me to marry him. Yet again, I am no poet.

I feel your heart,

Beating against mine.

The heat from your chest warms me quickly.

I could do this all day,

Lie here with you; arm in arm.

Say you love me…

I love you too…

Marry me?

Consider it done.

Kind of part two to “true love”…

You complete me,

You hold my heart.

You’re the missing piece to my puzzle,

You’ve made my life whole.

What we have will always prevail,

Our love will stay strong and true.
