The Day We Met

Written: September 10, 2007 

It was the smile on his face
The look in his eyes
"Don't make me leave this place"
Was all that was in my mind

I can't stop thinking about the look on his face
So for the past two days I do nothing but retrace
When I walked in and saw his back
Smiled to myself because of the fact
I was there, and, he was there and, it was real
He hadn't noticed me yet, but I started to feel
Shaky inside, though I thought I was ready, yet
I had to turn away, so I could catch my breath
Cause the day I've been waiting for, was finally here
I was looking at my future, he was near
Wanted to speak, but my head wasn't right
Cause all I could think about was, "There's my life."
It affected me more than I thought it would
Knew I'd be happy but, not that good
But I built up the courage and turned around
Saw him looking at me, and I heard no sounds
Its as if I blacked out when I saw his grin
Couldn't see a thing, but my greatest best friend
So he slowly walked up, and then I followed
Couldn't say a thing it was all bottled
Up, but I wanted to let it out
Had it in my head but not in my mouth
So I said, "Hello," the only thing I could say
Cause the look in his eyes had me in a daze
Figured once I saw him, I'd be alright
I could wait a while to see him, ha, yeah right
Wake up now and I see the first look
Knew I loved him but now I'm hooked
Cause even though it was awkward
And only lasted a few minutes
I love him more now and can't forget it
The day he saw me, and I saw he
Saturday September 8th, forever important to me.

Cause it was...
The smile on his face
The look in his eyes
