My Moment

I lie in the grass as I watch the stars shine above me.

This seems like a dream,

So surreal.

I put my hand behind my head

Like a cushion for my thoughts.

My mind fades away into a peaceful sleep

Nothing could interrupt this moment

A moment of peace

A moment of relaxation

And for a moment

What a wonderful moment

I feel whole.

I feel happy.

Only to wake up by the soft chirping of a bird,

Early in the morning

The stars are gone

But they didn’t take my moment

Its still with me

My star in my heart.
