Starting Over New

He has me on his leash.

I'll find out before long

if he's really on mine, too,

or if he has been long gone.

But this time, if he's gone,

I will soon move on.

Or i will keep him here forever;

he will never leave me lonely.

I'm certain now;

the raven lied.

I finally have him back,

after all that I have tried.

I have finally decided

to start over with the new,

and forgive and forget the past.

After all, I can't go back.

Forget everything

I thought I knew.

It was not the total truth.

He brought himself back to life.

I broke his heart,

tore him apart.

I don't know how he did it,

but he is fully here,

awake and well aware.

He has somehow

forgiven me

for the pain I caused him.

Since he's forgiven me,

I can forgive myself.

I can finally

forget the past

and start over

with good health.

A brand new start,

a welded heart.

I am finally getting better.
