Reaching out into the sea of nothingness,I feel your hand and hold on tight,I pull you through into the light,Shielding your eyes from the glaring sight,You look at me dumbfounded,And ask why I did that,It’s because I love you and you are my friend,You needed saving and I felt it was my duty,To help the one person who always helps me,You just smile and hug me tight,I hug you back and think this is my life,I’ve found my reason for being created,For being born into this earth,I help the lost and lonely souls,That can’t find their way out of that sea of dark,That engulfed me for so long,I made it out with the help of others,All those who care and love me truly,Therefore it is my duty to help those lost souls,Whom I love and truly care about,People may think I do it for the gratitude,But I do it to see others live on,It may not be happily ever after,But I guess it’s as good as they can get,I feel it’s my duty to those I love,To pull them out of the darkness,
And show them the light that really does exist.
