I Can't

I can't get over the fact he's gone.

I can't just forget him and move on.

I can't forget the way I felt.

When I saw him, my heart would melt.

I can't forget all my tears.

I can't get rid of all these fears.

I try to forget him, but all the while,

I can't stop thinking of his smile.

I had him there, so close to me.

Now that closeness is history.

I can't forget all that reminds me of him.

He's that one, special somethin'.

All the tears that run down my face,

I can't find anything to take their place.

All those words he said and meant,

I try to forget them, it's just.... I can't.
