To say the words "I love you"
Takes every beat of your heart.
When you hear it without meaning,
It tears your whole world apart.
To say the words "I love you"
Can open up a door.
It can bring pure happiness to you,
Can turn friends into so much more.
To say the words "I love you"
Can bring fear into one's eyes,
For the words are very powerful.
They can even shock the wise.
To say the words "I love you"
Can bring two people close.
The words can make you smile for days,
When you need to hear them the most.
To say the words "I love you"
Can cause so many feelings.
They can even work as miracles,
When you need the healing.
To say the words "I love you"
May be the hardest thing you do.
It's funny how only three words,
Can speak love so deep and true.
To say the words "I love you"
Can bring you to your knees.
To say the words may take everything,
But sometimes that's all you need.
To say the words "I love you"
Is taking my every breath.
But I love you and always will,
Until the day of my death.
I should have said this long ago,
But I was scared to say the words.
Yet, now I'm not scared anymore.
I can't lleave them unheard.
I've watched you from afar, you see,
and I've loved you so very long.
I know you need to hear these words-
I'm trying to stay strong.
I love you with my every breath.
You leave me hypnotized,
Everything I need in life,
Lies in your very eyes.
If I could speak only three words,
and they'd have to speak the truth,
I'd look into your eyes just once,
and say the words "I love you."
