I was Wrong

I thought you'd always love me,
at least that's what you said.
But know I know the truth,
you were just playing with my head.

I don't know why you'd do this,
you act  like you don't care.
I guess you never loved me,
my life just isn't fair.

I love you with all my heart,
and I know I always will.
But I know positively,
that isn't how you feel.

So tell me this right now,
or do you even know?
Did you ever love me,
or did you just tell me so?

Please don't leave me waiting,
for I can't wait that long.
Because before you know it,
I will soon be gone.
