You were there for me,

Through the pain and heartache,

That I had to face,

You made me strong,

As you were always there for me,

Not just as a lover but as a best friend two,

And even through to this day,

I know it’s my fault you were left,

Since I was never there for you,

Even at my best,

I thought I could never lose you,

Even through it was my greatest fear,

I thought our love could conquer all,

Like Spartans sent into battle,

But I was wrong,

You had a whole different destiny,

Calling you,

I wasn’t part of it,

Even through I wish I could be,

Because to this day,

It’s seems nothing,

Will make me feel better,

Than what we had,

And what we lost,

But I pray to this day,

That it isn’t really gone,

That it’s just hiding in the shadows,

Just waiting to be found
