i thought that we were friends

these 5 years that have past

i never thought that this would be the last

you say that i was never truthfull

you say i didn't tell my heart

so now i say to you the things that made us fall apart

no i'm not perfect, and sad to say but neither are you

i have had many downfalls, but God picked me back up it's true

we may not agree on everything

because we have our own ways and nothing of us is the same

but for those years that we were "friends"

i never doubted you

i always knew that you would make it through

but now that you have said your good-byes

here alone i shall forever abide

until our paths cross again one day
