Why Jesus had to die

It was a sad sad day that Jesus had to die

Even though he prayed Lord let this cup pass me by

He knew this way was right

He shed his precious blood for me

So that i could live eternally

For those who whipped him

He cried Father for give them

His heart was heavy with the burdens of our sins

They continued to shout "Crucify him!"

Then he died and gave up the ghost

So we can all go live with the heavenly host

So if you wonder why Jesus had to die

To wash away our shameful sins the greatest Sacrifice
