The last of a dyin breed

I rise in the morin,

slip on a pair of ol jeans,

my dads ol' shirt and

my favorite pair of boots

walk in to the kitchen and grab a cup of coffe,

yell your name....

then rember that you left

me along time ago

said you couldnt stand being second to the ranch

that you wanted me to sell it

and live with you in the city

all i said was,

the ranch is me,

I aint leavin her....

so I came home that night,

to find that all your things

were gone,

with a note sayin

I wish you the best

your one of the last of a dyin breed,

with a tear in my eye,

i walked out to the fence, and sat there

along while and thought

man is this what i really want,

then seein the new born calfs...

tryin to stand for the first time

I knew this is where i belong,

and this is where they will lay me down,

to rest forever....
